    The two aren’t mutually exclusive. I’ve seen video of white people being treated horrifically by cops, but I have personally been treated poorly by them and have seen people be treated poorly by them and my own father had a gun pulled on him when he reached toward his glove compartment to retrieve the insurance information an officer had just asked him for. So, even though everybody knows this stuff can happen to anybody, it happens disproportionately to Black people. That’s not a coincidence.
