With all the “rights versus privileges” stuff that keeps “popping” up and the “implied consent” laws that go with them (which erase our fourth and fifth amendment rights), such as in DUI cases, should we lobby for a Constitutional Amendment guaranteing us the right to reasonable movement and travel? If we do not, how long do you think it will be before “walking” is considered a privilege with “implied consent” to search?
How could such a right potentially conflict with “checkpoints”?
