I’m in the process of closing my first home. The inspector pointed out the FPE panel (I believe it’s the bus style) and explained the hazards. I read some things online and we asked if the seller would pay to get the panel replaced before we move in. They of course denied and said, “we can’t fix what’s not broken” After reading more about FPE it doesn’t sound cheap to fix nor does it sound like something we should wait to replace. Does anyone know how much I’m looking at paying for a replacment panel? Or do you think I should fight to get the sellers to pay for the repair? Is it even something to be worried about? Suggestions?

OKLAHOMA CITY — A new state law that took effect Nov. 1 will prevent the waste of taxpayer dollars on Spanish-language drivers’ tests, the bill’s author said.
“In a year of budget cuts, it makes no sense to spend extra money on Spanish-language drivers’ tests that serve no legitimate public policy purpose,” state Rep. Randy Terrill said. “Proving this special accommodation to non-English speakers indirectly encourages illegal immigration and prevents assimilation of legal immigrants.”
House Bill 2252, by Terrill and state Sen. Anthony Sykes, repealed the requirement for the Department of Public Safety to provide driver’s license tests in Spanish. The bill went into effect on Nov. 1.
Drivers who cannot read or speak English pose a public safety risk, Terrill said.
The risk associated with non-English-proficient drivers is one reason the federal law requires individuals seeking a commercial license for interstate commerce to “read and speak the English language.”
Oklahoma House Bill 2252 was prompted, in part, by a federal investigation after allegations Oklahoma violated the civil rights of two Iranian immigrants who were not provided written driver’s license exams in Farsi, the dominant language of Iran.
The state has received multiple foreign-language requests since that time.
Terrill noted the cost of providing driver’s tests in foreign languages is between $25,000 and $50,000 per language, per year.

They have been in the Unites States for over 90 days, have a hunting license in the state they are in, have recieved an admission number from the departmant of homeland security, and can provide the FFL with proof that they have been in the US for 90 days. I know it is legal to purchase firearms if all of these requirements are met, I am just wondering if there are any restrictions on what kind of firearms you may purchase.
So there is a law that specifically specifies that handguns may not be purchased even if all of these criteria are met? Could you please show me that law.

I filed my taxes online and they were accepted I got an original refund date of February 2nd or 3rd and then it was changed to the 10th which means I should have been getting it tomorrow but now I looked and it has been changed again to the 24th, my cousin filed hers and she got a message saying that there a delay in processing her return and it had a code 1201, but mines just had a changed date, and I have already gotten my state tax return in my account on 2-4-09 so what’s up with that? anyone know
Can my financial aid officer limit the amount of my federal student loan?

Hi.
I was approved my full amount by my federal student loan people and I talked to my financial aid guy and they told me that I wouldn’t be allowed to get the max because the loan people wouldn’t let me.
Well I found out that the loan people WILL but the school decides if I can get the amount I want. They decide if I need money or not.
Can they do that? They have no right to tell me what I need and don’t need. I pulled enough money out for graduate school and now I’m being shorted because they think I have a money tree in my back yard.
Is there any way I can get the school to give me my full amount. I need that money for school and living expenses like it was taken out for.
Can someone with a DUI still get an FFL (Federal Firearms License)?

I have a friend who got pulled over and was 4 hundredths over the legal limit for “under the influence” (it’d been 2 hours since he had anything to drink). He’s in the process of trying to get an FFL to run a business. I was wondering if this would affect his background check. It’s his first offense and all and he hasn’t gone to court yet to determine if there’s any way they’ll let it off his record – classes, probation, suspended license.
Anyone know?

1201 is the reference code I was given when I checked for my refund status…it said my refund was delayed and it gave me ref. # 1201.

I have a decent dealings with my po I see her every couple of months, but she just read me the riot act because I had to change jobs alot recently, One becaause I was laid off because my boss e company could not afford me, Had a hard time finding work found a 2 jobs one in a movie theatre for weekends and another during the week , but my mom who depends on me had emergency brain surgury and sffers from memory promlems, every doctor told me that i need to be with her in the am so she does not fall and i have to take her to doctors and set up so she can get picked up to go to a adult center to keep her active, so i found a job closer to my house and now my po freaks out and threatens me that this job BETTER BE FOR THE REsT OF YOUR PROBATION, geez what happens if the company folds its not easy getting jobs as a felon (white collor gambling charge she knows i got screwed in my case and that I am a cupcake she even told me so ,does she have the right to
