So, you have to be at least 15 and a half to take the permit test, and then you have to wait 9 months with your permit and you can only drive with adult supervision. After that, do you take the driver’s license test to be able to drive by yourself?

Why Do schools not teach driver’s education anymore?
Im just wondering why this class was done away with. Since teens and adults from the late 80’s and 90’s seem to have absolutley no clue whatsoever when it comes to the rules of the road. You would think that if they brought it back there would be less accidents and traffic violations with it being taught.
(Yeah, I was venting a little)

Is it legal for the state to mandate drivers ed for EVERYONE regardless of age? Because what if yo can’t affor?
as far as I know in every other state if you are over 18 you don’t have to take driver education, so if you can’t afford to take it you can just wait until you are over 18 so you don’t have to. But the driving manual says everyone in THIS state (Maryland), regardless of how old you are, has to take driver education, and I also asked at the DMV and they said you do, which means I am 23 and still can’t drive because I can’t afford driver ed (it costs $325, and I am unemployed). So my question is, is it legal for THIS state to make everyone have to take driver education? Because as far as I know no OTHER states do it. And it is not fair that you should be obligated to (pay to) take it in this state, but not in other states.
P.S.: before anyone says anything about me affording insurance, e.t.c., I am not worried about actually having a car with insurance or any of that. I just want to make sure I at least get a license, and it is stupid because I am already 23 yet still they are trying to humilate me by making me have to take driver ed, something that TEENS do!
it is not just ME, they say EVERYONE in this state has to take driver ed to be able to drive, no matter how old you are.
how is it legal for THIS state to do it, but no other state does? They are clearly just doing it on purpose to make money, which can’t be legal.
