What drivers license type is required to drive a scooter? I am over 21 and live in Idaho. I heard a class D drivers license will work, basically the same license required to drive a regular car, is that correct? I am thinking about buying a scooter, just need to make sure what drivers license type is required. I know with a regular motorcycle you need a motorcycle endorsment or something, but not sure if that is required for just a scooter.

where i live here i california you need a m2 that is a motorcycle license but where u live i don’t know

i live in Idaho and have my motorcycle licenses so this questions is down my ally if the scooter you are going to buy is under 49cc then you do not have to have a special endorsement to ride it if it is over then you have to have a motorcycle endorsement to rider it legally you can sign up for a class at Idahostar.com
