Does Anyone Know About The Law Concerning School Bills And Driver’s License’s In Oregon?

I got a notice stating that I could have problems renewing my license because of an outstanding school bill, and have been trying to locate information on this law and have been unable to find anything anywhere. Any direction you could point me in would be wonderful.

I searched a lot, scanning through Oregon motor vehicle/DMV laws, looking for any reference to outstanding school fees, or anything that would prevent a license renewal (outside of outstanding parking tickets). I found nothing.
I suggest you contact the DMV for further info.
I’m guessing it’s a scare tactic to get you to pay your bill.

I suggest you go to the nearest Oregon DMV licensing office and ask them.

I live in Portland, and have never heard of that at all. It’s seems ludacris, honestly. I mean the only thing that can hold you back from renewing your license is if you have an outstanding bill with a police station or a ticket or such. Something from school should not concern your license what so ever. I’m sure if you call the DMV they will clear that up for you. Is there a number on this notice that you received? http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV/driverid/…
